In January 2024, vocalist Ty Bouque, bassist Will Yager, and composer Ti McCormack joined forces for the first time in an abandoned church in Baltimore for a concert that had the intensity of a seance. Naming themselves after writer Nan Shepherd and taking inspiration from her book The Living Mountain, the Nan Trio convenes for a second time at UCSD's Conrad Prebys Concert Hall for a concert of McCormack's music that is meant to mirror walking through a forest in the dead of night: eyes wide open, but only our ears can guide us through.
