IN collaboration w/Current Space’s “Evil Eyes, Curses, and Floating Computers” show (featuring artists Jackie Milad and Tom Boram) High Zero Foundation presents a unique duration improvisation, live video installation and Twitch stream.
Come to Current Space next Thursday April 13th or log in to the HZ Twitch for what will no doubt be a very strange journey across the Rube Goldberg machine of long-form group improvisation. Like the impossible yet somehow possible 1987 film “The Way Things Go,” Tom Boram (synth, harpsichord), Shelly Purdy (mallets), Will Yager (bass) and John Dierker (reeds) go all-in for the long game.
For 3 hours these 4 will dig deep for new “music,” klangfarbe, outer space landscapes, lonely train whistles and lonelier wolf howls, sundry exhaust fan and wood-chipper sounds, etc from 7:30pm to 10:30pm!
The bar at Current will be wide open. Come out to this FREE event, have a drink, sit out in the courtyard for a bit……OR stay home and watch/listen while you sit chained to your solder bench finishing your latest voltage-controlled kim-chi fermenter or LISTEN as you drive into the night searching for love and poetry.
Extra thanks to Current Space and Jackie Milad for this excellent opportunity to explore improvised music!
